Everytime I see a book by Maureen Child I know I have to read it. I remember that I enjoy her books and have not had a bad one yet. And yet when I read one of her books it astounds me to see how incredibly talented she is. She has the talent of writing characters with depths, original and creative plot lines, and produces an enjoyable read all in just 192 pages. An Outrageous Proposal was wonderful. The story was fun and creative, and while reading it there were several moments that made meOh what a fun book. Sean and Georgia have become friends now that her sister is married to his cousin. What they didn't expect was a growing attraction between them. When they finally gave in, it was explosive and they began a planned no strings affair. Then Sean's mom had a heart attack and laid a guilt trip on him about wanting him settled. So he asked Georgia to pretend to be engaged to him until his mom was feeling better. The more time they spent together the more real it seemed. Sean is a
This was an ok read for me. It's a good beginners romance. This author has potential to write steamer , better novels. I did skim through most of it after their first love scene. Sigh. Let's just say it left a lot to be desired after that.
Maureen Child is a gifted author who really has a prowess over words. Although I rated this book with only 2 stars, my rating would be more more around 2.5. There were certain aspects which made it slightly cumbersome to read even while being really enjoyable in other places. What I didn't care too much about was Sean's character, as far as a reason for not falling in love is concerned. His reasons make sense, but just about barely. They don't seem strong enough for him to run away from the very
The story is about Sean Connolly and Georgia Page. Sean is wealthy, handsome, funny and good in all ways and he is the guy every woman wants and the owner of Irish Air. He will eventually meet Georgia on the wedding of his cousin who is more like a brother to him. At the first sight itself he will be attracted to Georgia and she also shares the same feelings. However the all Mr Perfect Sean will come up with Outrageous proposal of asking Georgia to act as his fiancee until his mother is well.
A fun and easygoing read with little conflict, and a pretend engagement storyline. I loved the Ireland setting, the very sexy Irish hero, and the charming Irish village of Dunley with its meddlesome townsfolk. A cute book.
As a sex machine, Sean Connolly is really great in the sack. (Of course. They all are.) Hes also built up a flight company through stubbornness and good business savvy. But his offer to go into a fake engagement to help his sick mother recover her health is a really bad idea. Hes told this by his cousin and Georgia Page is told this by her sister. Do they listen? Well, yeah. But they go ahead with it anyway.Georgia Page is supposedly a smart woman too. But shes envious of her sisters happiness
