The Well House is a pretty good read from an author I was unfamiliar with. It has the same dark vibe I associate with the 90s horror movies from Japan I loved. A good solid plot and I found Ben to be a protagonist I could get on board with and really wanted him to succeed in saving Anne. Not flawless but Ill be on the lookout for future releases by Matassa and I can see him becoming one of my favorite upcoming authors.

I stared reading The Well House when everyone was out and few pages into it I decided to turn the lights up! It is quite chilling at times which is what I wanted but it is always a bonus when the writing is as good as this is. I particularly liked the authors take on dream lore which left me thinking at the end of the book.

There were such creative layering I found in The Well House which made it difficult to put down once I got into it. Its very well written for a first-time author, and I even went to check if hed released earlier books but apparently not. The descriptive writing was engrossing and the plotline draws me in and kept me hooked. The writing quality was found throughout the book. I loved how Ben meets a mysterious stranger who directs him to the Well House. It is in the well house where Ben enters the
