Representaion Concering Books Daimon (Covenant #0.5)

"Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life." For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards… and that she'll never be prepared for that duty. According to her mother, that’s a good thing. But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill. The daimons have found her.

Assessment Out Of Books Daimon (Covenant #0.5)

I picked up this novella because my friend Mer said I needed to read this series. So of course I wanted to start from the beginning. I found myself unable to put this short story down. I listened to the audio copy via my library overload app. The female narrator did an amazing job keeping me believing the entire time the heroine was her. The story itself is different and interesting. Really looking forward to continuing the series because that ending had me wanting to know what is going to

Im usually not that excited about prequels, but JLA did an amazing job like always. The story in this one makes you crave more of the mythology and whatever happens after that ending. Was your mom a gardener? I asked innocently. What? Rens mouth hung open slightly.Because a face like

This was a nice peek into a world that needs a lot more explaining which is unfortunately needed for the stage to be set properly. Still I now care about Alex and am invested in her story so like mission accomplished.

Well, I did write it so I'm kind of partial to it.

I've already enjoyed the author's Lux series and the first book I read from her Dark Elements series so I snatched this one up when I was in the mood for some good YA otherworld action.Daimon is a prequel that is more of a delicious teaser of what is to come for the Covenant series. It introduces the heroine, a few hints as to her background, an exciting chase, and then ends abruptly just in time for the reader to snack up the first book and settle in for an exciting ride.Alex sounds like a
