Narration Toward Books Falling for the Ghost of You

Seventeen year old Violet Mercer returns home from her summer vacation in Hawaii to discover her boyfriend's cheating on her with a friend. As if that wasn't bad enough, her mother's marrying a man she just met.

Things take an awkward turn when Violet meets her rich new stepfather, and his gorgeous son—the hot guy whom she made a fool of herself in front of earlier that day! Zane O' Connor is sexy and charming, and way out of her league. He makes her forget her ex-boyfriend even existed. But there's no way she'd ever have a chance with him...right?

Through a strange turn of events, Violet finds herself living with Zane for a month. Somewhere between the fighting and flirting, they become friends. And it isn't long before that friendship blooms into something else...something more powerful than Violet anticipated.

But Zane is hiding something from her--something big enough to tear them apart if Violet ever discovered the truth about him. Her suspicions keep her from trusting him completely. She's been burned before—is she willing to take that risk again?

As she and Zane spend more time together, Violet realizes it's too late: she's fallen for the beautiful boy with the big secret. Will she get her heart broken twice in one year—or will her love survive the truth?

For readers seventeen and older due to sexual situations and language.

HO.LEE.JESUS.WHAT DID I JUST READ??? I need a minute here. Or two. Or maybe more. This must be the funniest book I have ever read!Violet brought tears to my eyes every.freakin.time. A heroine so amazingly hilarious, selfless, oblivious to her own beauty, immensely loving. I LOVED HER. Zane complemented her banter so well that it was perfect. But I will let you see for yourselves: I dont even need to look into his guilty bastard eyes for confirmation. I cant breathe. Im in shock. I cant

Falling for the Ghost of You tells us the story of Violet & Zane. Violet's mother is about to marry Zane's father.Violet is just back from her summer "vacation" and she finds out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her so she's sad and depressed when she meets Zane for the first time but the more she talks to him the more she realizes she doesn't miss her cheating ex anymore. Why didn't this work for me you say? It wasn't the writing or the plot per se but the sweetness of the story. I

Attention please...the main character is a slut shaming bitch. Im really sorry, Rachel whispers, her eyes downcast. Her pretty face is wet with tears.Aw,lets give the sweet pretty bitch a hug!Dont talk to me, I snap. I have found my anger, and its the only think keeping me from breaking apart. I focus on my former boyfriend with laser like intensity as a revelation hits me like a falling coconut to the head. Did you sleep with her?Matts mouth tightens, but he doesnt say anything. Rachel,

'Fiction should be a place of lollipops and escape. Real life is depressing enough- I, for one, don't want to read about make believe misery, too' HEA 80th book of 2013

Rolling on the floor laughing romantic fantasy YAThe story is about a seventeen year old teen girl Violet, who took on her mothers cancer, bills, school, and a horrendous boyfriend situation only to stumble into the most gorgeous man at her worst moment. Her and her mother have an extremely strong and close relationship, and when her mother tells her she is getting married, she is thrilled for her. Everything is about to change for them, the fiancee is extremely rich so they will not have money

This is a really quirky read. By which I mean that the narrative voice is of a particular flavor/character and it's a strong flavor/character that Christie maintains very well so if it annoys you, you're going to hate this book. Violet is snarky and self-critical, even as she doesn't really care about what other people think. She's also prone to nervous jitters that sabotage her both verbally and physically. I loved the snark and found the self-critical aspects believable without being
