Chronicle In Pursuance Of Books Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law #1)

Alternate cover edition for 9781594267130 One bad corpse can ruin your whole day. No one knows that better than Rhiannon Murphy. She left behind the flash and sass of Miami for the no-nonsense groove of New York City, eager for a clean slate and a fresh start. A bartender by trade, a loud mouth by choice, and a necromancer by chance; she managed to keep her nifty talent hidden from those around her—until now. The deliciously good-looking vampire, Disco, knows her secret. When he strolls into her bar to solicit help investigating the mysterious disappearances of his kind from the city, Rhiannon discovers he’s not the kind of person that appreciates the significance of the word no. But in a world where vampires peddle their blood as the latest and greatest drug of choice, it’s only a matter of time before the next big thing hits the market. Someone or something is killing vampires to steal their hearts, and unlike Rhiannon, this isn’t their first stroll around the undead block.

Column Appertaining To Books Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law #1)
mon avis en FrançaisMy English review I was really curious about this novel after all the good things that I had heard and the beautiful reviews that I had the opportunity to read about it. I must say that everyone was loving it. I confess, however, that after having bought the book, it took me some time before starting it. And what idea I had, because the book is like everyone said, very good! I spent a pleasant time with Rhiannon and I already can not wait to read more as soon as possible. Our

Rhiannon's Law #27: When you're working in a gentlemens club and one of your dancers takes off their heels, alert the big guns; an ass kicking is on the menu. From the moment I read that first line in the book I knew I was going to be glued to this story. The story begins with a kick ass twenty five year old Rhiannon a bartender at a "gentlemen's club" or let's just call it what it is, a strip joint. She's a snarky, heroic, guarded, foul mouth spewing, tough as nails, "shit kicker wearing"

Noooooooo the ending was pure torture!! The next book better come out soon or I'll go crazy. There were so many characters in this book that I absolutely loved. J.A. Saare really knows how to write characters with depth and great personalities. Rhiannon is fucking awesome, she has the whole 'don't piss me off or I'll kick your ass' mentality. She mouths off at everyone and I laughed so many times. My favorite guys are Disco, Goose and Paine. Especially Paine, really hope we get to see more of

First of all, please allow me to get this off my chest: Why on earth would a self-respecting vampire want to be called Disco?! Its just ridiculous. I guess the author wanted to be original and Disco is original, thats for sure, as in: no-one-would-ever-be-crazy-enough-to-do-it. I have become like the ancient Fae in Fever: I read so much UF books, the only thing I judge them by is whether they amuse me or not. This particular book only mildly amused me. It was a good story, but very sloppy

Don't let the title of the book fool you, Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between is quite a lively tale!Rhiannon Murphy sees dead people. But unlike a certain member of the Osment family, she doesn't whine about it, she simply looks the ghosts in the eye and tells them to go find someone else to haunt! But when her abilities to see and communicate with ghosts attract the attention of a vampire named Disco, Rhiannon may finally have found something that scares even her. Someone has been murdering

This was a re-read for me and it was just as good the second time. I had forgotten how vulnerable Rhiannon is in this book. In the future installments that's not the case. Rhiannon has to be my all time favorite MC her sarcasm and actions are so funny. When I look back to this book compared to the last one the transformation and growth that Rhiannon goes through is crazy. I do wish there had been more scenes with Paine in book 1 though. Ms. Saare is a mastermind with her character developments

Rating: 4.5(I had this as four stars until I got to the last few chapters. Which rocked my damn socks off.)Overall, I found this to be an awesome series starter. Basically, it's about sassy bartender, Rhiannon Murphy, and her induction (of sorts) into the world of the dead and undead. She's grappled with many past (metaphorical) demons as well as her own rare ability to see dead people. Along with her new partners-in-crime, fellow necromancer Ethan "Goose" McDaniel and mysterious vampire
