I picked up this book one day because I was bored, and I thought it would be a great filler-book, just a quick read that I wouldn't get attached to. I only had the first book, but I assumed that I wasn't going to be into it enough to spend more money on the series.I was so incredibly wrong.I started Shatter Me expecting a shitty novel with a weird writing style and a re-used plot, but what I got was a unique, interesting, and wonderful take on the popular dystopian genre. Instead of being blandFirst I would like to say that I'm writing this review for the whole Shatter Me series, and second that I never EVER write reviews... That being said here's my review of the shatter me series. Breathtaking, wonderful, stunning.... I could use any of those words to describe this series but they would all be understatement. Mafi's writing is beyond refreshing and unique. It's something so hard to describe or even put into words, and I know that my review wont do it true justice.I found myself
Honestly enjoyed this. I did think Adam went through some unnecessary butchering to get the relationships in place, but I'm quite pleased where it ended up (because I'm a fangirl at heart). Speaking of relationships, I thought it was a tad dramatic, but then you had Kenji and his comments poking fun at the drama. That was a nice touch - it showed self-awareness, and ensured that I never felt that this book took itself too seriously. Plot wise, there was nothing overly surprising. In a sense, I
btw includes spoilersmy best friend recommended this book to me and let me just say...these 5 books are amazing .you read these books and you will fall in love with them. kenji is the BEST he brings humour into the book and did i mention im in love with warner.warner kinda acted like a syko at first but dont judge ok. he is a outstanding guy. have some faith.anyways... it came as such a surprise to me that warner and adam are brothers.BROTHERS. i am soooo glad warner and juliette got together

From Taherehs Q&A on twitter:- Restore me has both Warner and Juliette POV- there will be some sneak peeks in the coming months- in the new books we will discover more of the Shatter me world/sectors/powers - there is going to be so mUCH Kenji- we will get many Kenji x Warner scenes- we will get James x Warner scenes- we will get new POCs/LGBTQ characters- new scenes with Warners sassing/dragging moments- kenji may get a romantic interest - we will learn what Warner did to become the leader

This first book is a hot, boiling ass mess and I will never understand the hype of it and why people tote it as the second coming. The writing is just above tolerable but the prose is laughably bad. Terrible, cheesy dialogue, a weak main character in Juliette and to top it off we get the bland bowl of oatmeal that is Adam Kent. *snores* Thank
