Criticize Containing Books Rise of the Huntress (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles #7)
The Last Apprentice/ Wardstone Chronicles Series-Book #7... I'm on the 7th of 13 books in this series and so far it hasn't gotten old yet. In this installment, the war is in progress and enemy soldiers have been ransacking the counties. When Tom, Alice & the Spook return home from Greece they find the Spook's home, including his massive library of priceless books, burnt down, the bogart has fled & the witches have escaped. They end up fleeing to an island that they think we'll be a safe

This is the seventh book in The Last Apprentice series by Delaney. Originally the series was planned for seven books, but this book definitely isn't the last in the series. I haven't been able to find an updated estimate of how many books this series will have. This was another great addition to this series. This book finds the Spook, Tom, and Alice back on their way to the Spook's house. Things are getting worse on the war front, the enemies are invading further inland and when the Spook and

Can't wait for the next! It's getting more intense and heart-wrenching here, for Alice and the Spook.I think the real hero is Alice, she did many things to save Tom and the Spook, since they're powerless and all.I hope the Spook'll be nicer next book, because he really is an irritating old man!By the way, how could I just realize that this series has a weird way of telling? Is it about how the British, or what?

Very good. Like the development of the side characters!Review to come!Audiobook CommentsRead by the always-amazing Christopher Evan Welch. He really makes this audio series shine.YouTube | Blog | Instagram | Twitter | Snapchat @miranda.reads Happy Reading!

I have excitement and fear. I've got this in my hands, but can't read it quite yet. I so very much enjoy this series but wonder...how long can it stay good? Seven books is a really long run and while not every book in the series has been equally great, they've all been quite good. Will this one be, as well? ***Feb 2011***If I didn't know better - and maybe I don't - I'd have thought this was fan fiction and not written by Joseph Delaney at all.Maybe my expectations were too high going into the

This series is remarkably consistent and engaging. Delaney manages to weave new and interesting variations on his theme, and he keeps the interest level high even though there are remarkably few characters involved. In this installment, we get the return of Bony Lizzie. She is Alice's mom and a witch who caused some problems in the first book, but who has since been residing in a pit in the Spook's garden in Chipenden.Unfortunately for the Spook and Tom, the invading army destroyed Chipenden

I guess it is hard to write a book that is a sequel to one in which the world almost ends. While I loved Alice as always and enjoyed the story of the escape and rise of the horrid Bony Lizzie (who actually wrung some sympathy from me a few times), I felt the author wasted his own new characters terribly and that for once my idea of what was going to happen at the end was actually much more interesting than what did. There is much more scope in the series for Horn and Adriana than they were
