Sam's not just a normal boy - he has a secret. During the summer he walks and talks as a human, but when the cold comes, he runs with his pack as a wolf. Grace has spent years watching the wolves in the woods behind her house - but never dreamed that she would fall in love with one of them. Now that they've found each other, the clock ticks down on what could be Grace and Sam's only summer together.

Can Grace and Sam last? Each will have to fight to stay together - whether it means a reckoning with his werewolf past for Sam, or for Grace, facing a future that is less and less certain. Enter Cole, a new wolf who is wrestling with his own demons, embracing the life of a wolf while denying the ties of being human. For Grace, Sam, and Cole, life is harrowing and euphoric, enticing and alarming. As their world falls apart, love is what lingers. But can it be enough?

Article Epithetical Books Shiver Trilogy Boxset (The Wolves of Mercy Falls #1-3)
Thus book is the best romance ever!!I would give thus book a five star rating just because thus book has everything in it that a romance should have. The love, the lust, and the just down right wanting of being apart of the journey reading thus book made me cry and want to just indulge myself in the secrets of this book. It made me want to be a wolf I could see see the detail vividly and that is what makes thus book so dang right good. I would however ask the author too make more of this series

Raven Boys was so delightful that going back in time to Wolves of Mercy Falls was maybe always going to be a disappointment. Don't get me wrong -- this is still skillful stuff. Maggie can always spin a line and, for example, "I may have thrown one too many Molotov cocktails over God's fence," is a stonking good one. And her treatment of lycanthropy as simultaneously a disease and a metaphor for death is an interesting one. Most of my problems with the book might be rooted in my lack of interest

The series focuses on Grace and Sam. Grace is a high school student in love with her wolf boy Sam. Since the werewolf/shifter genre has grown tired, Maggie decided to throw some ice on this one, literally. When winter hits Sam shifts back into fluffy. Grace and Sam grow closer and closer and closer and closer (ha -had to do it) while dreading the approaching cold. A few other characters are thrown in the mix and stick around throughout the series. Some annoyed me while others made me feel sad (I

I didn't expect to get as engrossed with this as I eventually was (the first novel was really rough/slowgoing, and I might have stopped there if I hadn't borrowed all three as one book), but I got caught up with Sam and Grace's drama. I liked that there wasn't much romance - the two of them knew that they were right for each other, but the drama comes from the obstacles they have to face (i.e. their uncontrollable urge to turn into wolves). I liked their strong supporting cast: Isabel and Cole,

I really, really like the way Stiefvater writes. For some reason I read Shiver a few years ago, then didn't follow through on the rest of the series. But I just finished the whole trilogy on audiobook, and it really is very good.Stiefvater does certain things very differently from other YA authors. I am absolutely fascinated by the way she wrote Grace's parents, a couple who usually treat their daughter like a roommate. They are frustrating and familiar (not my parents, but other parents) and

Right now we're being inundated in paranormal romances -- including quite a few about werewolves. But Maggie Stiefvater's "Shiver Trilogy" has a delicate, wintry quality that most paranormal romances lack, as well as a romance that tosses aside "Twilight"-style crushy obsessions in favor of a gentle, sweet romance threatened by nature itself as well as humanity. In "Shiver," Grace has been visited by a yellow-eyed wolf every winter. When a teenage boy is killed by wolves, and his body is stolen

This box looks so good in my shelf. <3 :D
