Rendition As Books We Were On a Break

Is it a break? Or is it a blip? 'You've just had a holiday,' I pointed out, trying not to yawn. 'Wasn't that enough of a break?' 'I don't mean that kind of break.' There's nothing worse than the last day of holiday. Oh wait, there is. When what should have been a proposal turns into a break, Liv and Adam find themselves on opposite sides of the life they had mapped out. Friends and family all think they're crazy; Liv throws herself into work - animals are so much simpler than humans - and Adam tries to get himself out of the hole he's dug. But as the short break becomes a chasm, can they find a way back to each other? Most importantly, do they want to?

Discuss About Books We Were On a Break
Actual rate: 3.5 starsI have mixed feelings about his book. As I told in one of my updates, I adored half the characters and absolutely loathed the other half. I loved both Adam and Liv, but they also frustrated me to the point of tears. I loved the story, but I also found it completely bonkers. As I said, mixed feelings. As the blurb explains, the story starts with a romantic proposal going (very) wrong. Then, as a good chick lit, there are a lot of misunderstandings, some hilarious situations,

What do you do when your boyfriend who had planned on putting a ring on it suddenly says he wants "a break?" What does that mean? That's what happens to Liv. Lindsey Kelk's warm romantic comedy is the story of two people trying to figure out what they wantboth romantically and in their own lives.Liv and Adam's Mexican vacation doesn't go as either of them had planned. Adam was supposed to propose to her. Liv was expecting a proposal, as she had been tipped off by her best friend, Cass, who is

Boy and girl from a small countryside English village date for three years, go on vacation together, boy tells his brother that he will propose on said vacation, brother's wife tells the girl, girl waits all the vacation for a proposal, boy plans it for a last day, but at the last minute decides that he will not propose, major cold feet, on the flight home they fight, and later on he tells her famous words- let's take a break...Sounds familiar, also innocent, nothing could go wrong right.....

Aw man, this one took forever because the past 1.5 weeks have been crazy. I can honestly say that the book itself wasn't to blame for how long it took me. It's an easy, fast paced book. Funny, light, a bit romantic and something I normally wouldn't read but that I quite enjoyed in between all those deep, psychological books I mostly read. I wouldn't mind seeing this in movie form and I felt it was very realistic and relatable with everything that was going on between the two main characters.

We were on a break is a book about the funny side of a break up, between a couple that instead of getting married decided to take a break. I thought there was something missing, the story was original but not real, the back and forth between the characters were confusing, not very well developed. These people drink a lot!! How could you want to go out with your friends right after you arrive from a holiday vacation that went wrong? Too immature for me, I think I read too many books and I cant

We Were On a Break was one of those books I picked because of the title name. I definitely felt like it was an anthem for most relationships that go on and off breaks. Not necessarily my own relationships but then again I could totally get behind it? I don't know.. it probably doesn't make sense. This book follows Liv and Adam. They've been dating for a few years and obviously a proposal is supposed to ya know.. happen. Apparently Liv get's wind that a proposal will happen while she's on vacation

November 2016I won a copy of this book in a Goodreads Giveaway and received it today (21/11/2016). This has in no way impacted the impartiality of my review of the book as I actually bought, read and reviewed the book before I was declared a Goodreads Giveaway Winner! However I would very much like to thank both Goodreads and Harper Fiction for this lovely shiny new paperback.--------Original Review: October 2016 "Daniel Craig pranced indignantly out of my bedroom, still wearing my pink thong
