Evaluation Epithetical Books Damaged 2 (Damaged #2)
Wow wow wow! First, I received an ARC for an honest review so here goes:HM Ward really outdid herself with this book! Peter Grantz and Sidney pick up right where we left off on Damaged 1 after she was attacked by Dean and has a fight with Sam. She is heading home to face her past and see her mother who is sick... Along the way home she faces her inability to judge people, her fear of Dean, and finds a new pet that is hysterical. Seriously!! I absolutely laughed out loud at the pet and how Peter

4.5 stars.I enjoyed this second book more since I'm already acquainted with Peter & Sidney. Although I'm a fan of the university setting in the first book, I liked the direction this one has taken. I also appreciated the many funny moments in the book! Having met Sean & Jonathan Ferro, I now want to read about them!!

**ARC provided for honest review**I am at a loss for what to even say about this book. I loved Peter and Sidney in the first book, and I loved them even more after this one. Sidney is damaged due to things that have happened to her, and trust isn't easy for her. She trusts Peter, and then finds out he's been keeping a pretty big nasty from her this whole time, which pretty much destroys any trust she had for him. They embark on the trip to Jersey, and it's a hilarious comedy of error the whole

One star is for Peter, one star is for Sean and one is for all the teasing and joking between the characters which was pretty funny. Otherwise this book was a disappointment to me. It's a pity, though, because I loved Damaged. However three stars feels way too much for this book, because Sidney was really irritating, and I feel like my eyes are hurting from all the eye rolling I was doing.Anyway the reason I didn't enjoy the book as much as I would like to was the way Sidney acted after she

Sydney & Peter grow close as friends & co-workers but the attraction to each other is still there waiting under the surface. It isnt until they both find out they have a mutual love for swing dancing that they start to let their guard down around each. But Sydney has spent the last four years running from her past. When she is needed back home, she will have to face the past she wanted to leave behind. And Peter becomes the person who wants to save her from returning to hell. This second

WTH?!? I thought that "Damaged" was a good piece of realistic, contemporary fiction that touched upon many issues which I find compelling: sexual abuse, family dynamics, family members' differing reactions towards the rape victim, Post-Traumatic Stress, culture & decorum in academia, & the taboo student/professor relationship.... I was eager to read the sequel-- "Damaged 2"-- b/c I honestly believed that it would expound on the issues & dilemmas presented in the first novel.
