Relation Toward Books The Vixen and the Vet (A Modern Fairytale #1)
In this modern-retelling of Beauty and the Beast, Savannah Carmichael, betrayed by an unreliable source, returns to her hometown of Danvers, Virginia with her once-promising journalism career in ruins. Given the opportunity to get back in the game by writing a patriotic human interest piece, Savannah turns her attention to the town hermit, Asher Lee, a wounded veteran who returned to Danvers eight years ago, and hasn’t been seen since. After an IED explosion in Afghanistan took Asher’s hand and disfigured half of his face, he's lived a quiet life on the outskirts of Danvers where the locals respect his privacy…that is, until Savannah Carmichael comes calling in a borrowed sundress with a plate of homemade brownies. When Asher agrees to be interviewed by Savannah, he starts feeling things for the beautiful reporter that he hasn’t felt in years. Misfits in small-town Danvers, Savannah and Asher create a bond right away, touching each other’s hearts in ways neither thought possible. When a terrible mistake threatens to drive them apart, they’ll have to decide if the love they found in one another’s arms is strong enough to fight for their hard-won happily ever after. ***** The Vixen and the Vet is part of the a modern fairytale collection, which will include five standalone novels: The Vixen and the Vet (Beauty & the Beast) - available now Never Let You Go (Hansel & Gretel) - available now Ginger's Heart (Little Red Riding Hood) - available March 22, 2016 Don't Speak (The Little Mermaid) - available 2017 Swan Song (The Ugly Duckling) – available 2017/18 Librarian's Note: This is an alternate/new cover for ASIN B00L19SVQ4Be Specific About Books During The Vixen and the Vet (A Modern Fairytale #1)

I wrote this book in 23 days. It only took me 23 days because Asher and Savannah jumped off the pages for me fully-formed and 100% ready to fall in love. I think their story is really hot, really fun and really moving. I hope you do too.I have never written a book as a fundraiser before, so this book is very special to me. I hope that Savannah and Asher's story will inspire, delight and move readers to remember that our returning wounded deserve every possible honor for their courage, bravery
I LOVED THIS STORY!Oh boy, not sure what to say except this story totally captivated me. The heroine, investigative reporter Savannah Carmichael, has moved back to her small Virginia hometown after losing her job in NYC due to a humiliating betrayal by her boyfriend which could end up costing her her hard won career. Savannah comes home to sort out her life and career, and to help her younger sister Scarlet prepare for her wedding in 6 weeks. Scarlet reads her an article about how to know that
*Book provided by the author in exchange for an honest review*So, the wonderful Katy did it again!!!!Savannah returns to her hometown Danvers heartbroken and without a job. There she is surrounded by her parents and her sister Scarlet who is about to get married, but Savannah who is supposed to be the maid of honour is not really in the mood for the whole wedding thing. She gets the chance to write an article for another newspaper and get a job in Phoenix and that for she wants to interview Asher
Katy Regnery has created something wonderful with The Vixen and the Vet. With what is a romance novel, she has brought front and center a dark side of the human psyche the ability of the government, and the people, to ignore the real costs to the soldiers who often give not only their lives, but their bodies, minds and souls to the machines of war.In this story inspired by the classic The Beauty and the Beast, the characters face their inner beasts and overcome them to see the beauty of being
5 Stars! The Vixen and the Vet is yet another one of those books where Im like WTF Christy! You waited 2 years after this released to read it? I listened to the audio book of this one and for three days straight I didnt even want to read another book. All I wanted to do was listen to this. There isnt one thing I didnt love about this book. The story line, the characters, the writing- it was all fantastic. The thing about surviving something so truly tragic is that it changes your expectations
