Chronicle Conducive To Books Desired (The Vampire Journals #5)

In DESIRED (Book #5 in the Vampire Journals), Caitlin Paine wakes to discover that she has once again traveled back in time. This time, she has landed in eighteenth century Paris, an age of great opulence, of kings and queens but also of revolution.

Reunited with her true love, Caleb, the two of them finally have the quiet, romantic time together that they never had. They spend idyllic time together in the city of Paris, visiting its most romantic sites, as their love grows ever deeper. Caitlin decides to give up the search for her father, so that she can savor this time and place, and spend her life with Caleb. Caleb takes her to his medieval castle, near the ocean, and Caitlin is happier than she ever dreamed.

But their idyllic time together is not destined to last forever, and events intercede that force the two of them apart. Caitlin once again finds herself united with Aiden and his coven, with Polly and with new friends, as she focuses again on her training, and on her mission. She is introduced to the lavish world of Versailles, and encounters outfits and opulence beyond what she ever dreamed. With never ending feasts and parties and concerts, Versailles is a world of its own. She is happily reunited with her bother Sam, who is also back in time, and having dreams of their father, too.

But all is not as well as it seems. Kyle has traveled back in time, too this time, with his evil sidekick, Sergei and he is more determined than ever to kill Caitlin. And Sam and Polly each fall ever deeper into toxic relationships, which just might threaten to destroy everything around them.

As Caitlin becomes a true and hardened warrior, she comes closer than ever to finding her father, and the mythical Shield. The climactic, action-packed ending, takes Caitlin through a whirlwind of Paris most important medieval locations, on a hunt for clues. But surviving this time will demand skills she never dreamed she had. And reuniting with Caleb will require her to make the hardest choices and sacrifices of her life.

Write Up Regarding Books Desired (The Vampire Journals #5)
Seriously irritating to keep dragging this story out in book after book! And now they are all ending the same way with cliffhangers- none of them good as a stand-alone read. Too short to be broken up into so many books but I guess that's how they get more $$ out of the readers!

I read the first book in this series due to the price, it was only $0.99 on B&N for Ipad. I should have have stopped there and saved myself the cash. The author is re-hashing the story line over and over again. Also, the characters are fickle. Every time something happens it's "the best I've ever known" how can everything out there be the best of your life? This rose is the best smelling rose I have ever smelled, this water is the clearest I've ever seen, this weapon sparkles more than any

While I like the STORY of this series, the writing style is really getting on my nerves. There is a ton of really forced cliff-hanger chapter endings that are just unnecessary. And I'm sick and tired of Caitlin completely overreacting to every single thing that happens with Caleb and/or Blake. How anyone who has survived centuries could have any patience for her 15 year old girl drama (yes, i know she's older, but she doesn't act it) is beyond me.All that being said, the story is interesting,

bought it and so far its really good

Great book.I finished this book in 2 days and was entranced. I love this series and cant wait to start book 6.

The overall story line is interesting, and I do want to continue reading the rest of the series so I can fully get the story. However, the amount of typos/missing words/using wrong names is really getting to be annoying. That is the reason why I have given this book three stars instead of four. It would be five if there was not as much repeating of phrases such as "this time and place" and the general repeating of the plot line. If we just read something in the same book, it is not necessary to

Finished this book last night. One thing I like about the book is that it doesn't rehash everything that happened in the last books in the first chapter, it just dives right in.While I enjoy the story itself, there are flaws in character development. Caitlin overreacts constantly, complete drama queen. It is rather irritating. The other thing that gets on my nerves about this entire series is the words. I'm not sure if it's just the e-book version, or if the editor sucks that bad. There were
