Rendition To Books The Attributes of God
The foundation of our knowledge of God rests upon knowing what he is like. Without understanding God's attributes, we have a skewed perception of him--often one cast in our own image. We need more than just a theoretical knowledge of God in order to worship him as he desires. This classic work of Arthur W. Pink invites readers to discover the truth about seventeen attributes of God, including his sovereignty, immutability, patience, love, faithfulness, and much more. Pink shows readers a God who is alive, all-powerful, and active in his creation. The perfect introductory text, The Attributes of God also has enough depth and meat to satisfy the more experienced reader.Rating About Books The Attributes of God

This is a brief but beautiful reminder of God's character. Pink writes simply of the deep things of God. He is far, far above us. He is holy, good, kind, and just. "A spiritual and saving knowledge of God is the greatest need of every human creature." (A.W. Pink)"The highest science, the loftiest speculation, the mightiest philosophy, which can engage the attention of a child of God is the name, the nature, the person, the doings, and the existence of the great God which he calls his Father."This book is a classic that every Christian should read. Loved it!
Great book! I appreciate the reformed theme woven through the book. Short chapters were easy to finish in a bus ride to work.
With so many religions and winds of doctrine that surround us, its crucial that we understand well who God is in order to prevent falling into doctrinal error. God can best be understood, not by his actions or his (apparent) emotions, but by His attributes as revealed to us in Scripture. One of the best books on this topic is The Attributes of God by A. W. Pink, who states, The foundation of all true knowledge of God must be a clear mental apprehension of His perfections as revealed in Holy
Good reading as a devotional. Each chapter is on a different attribute of God, such as God's faithfulness, goodness, wrath and patience. I like how Pink does make a distinction between God's patience and mercy, where one emphasis is on God's slowness to anger and the other is God's goodness in consideration of the good of those who are recieving mercy. One wonders what is the order of the arrangement of the chapters though. Other than that, as I said above, it is good primarily for a devotional
One of the best books I have read. Coming out of the Pentecostal church it opened my eyes to so much of how we have brought God down on our level so many times and truly have lost a reverence for Him. Reading, studying and meditating on who He is and His Attributes will change every area of your life and a trust thru any Valley. Highly recommend this book.
This look at the Savior was exactly what my soul longed to be reminded of. God is a good good God.
