Explanation Toward Books Reign of Blood (The Vampires of Vegas #1)

Never tease anything that wants to eat you. My name is April Tate and my blood is the new gold. Vampires and hybrids have overrun my world, once vibrant with life, but now a graveyard of death shrouded in shadows. I fight to survive; I fight for my mother and brother. The journey is full of turns that I am quite unprepared for. And I'm just hoping to make it to the next Vegas sunrise..." In a post-apocalyptic world, a viral epidemic has wiped out most of the earth’s population, leaving behind few humans but untold numbers of mutated vampires. April is a seventeen-year-old girl who lives in the remains of Las Vegas one year after the outbreak. She has become a ferocious vampire killer and after her family is abducted, she goes searching for them. What she finds is a new breed of vampire, unlike any she has seen before. Unsure of whom she can trust, she discovers that her view of the world is not as black and white as she once thought, and she's willing to bend the rules to rescue her family. But in trying to save them, she may only succeed in bringing her fragile world crashing down around her.

Assessment Appertaining To Books Reign of Blood (The Vampires of Vegas #1)
Awesome new take on vampires Alexia Purdy just joined my list of favorite authors! The descriptions in this book are so well written that Alexia sucked (pun intended) me in immediately and I fell in love with her characters and her writing.Vampire/zombie-like creatures roam the streets of Las Vegas after the world is overcome by some viral epidemic. This is a story about April, a seventeen-year-old girl and her quest to find her family. (Hmmm something familiar about that. LOL If you know me,

I came across this book recently and decided to give it a try to make it part of my July Dystopia Month, I am quite happy I did. The result is this review. I struggled a bit trying to come up with the right words to describe how much I enjoyed it.The post apocalyptic America that Alexia Purdy has created is different from any other

I just love a good post-apocalyptic tale, one rich in enough detail that I feel like I am there, but not so dark that I cant believe I couldnt survive! Starting with the perfect opening one-liner, Never tease anything that wants to eat you, I was pretty much hooked as Alexia Purdy introduces us to April and her small family, survivors of a deadly virus that decimated the world while creating mindless zombie-like vampires. Survival is everything and clearly, April and her family have something

I was a littel concerned to sit down and write a review for this book. I was honored to receive an ARC of it from Alexia. I loved Evershade and thought why not. I like her and her writing I will give it a shot. The first few chapters I kept asking myself, why am I reading this book. This isnt like the books I normally read nor like. I am not an end of days type of person. I want to see all the happy frills, not the doom and gloom. I owed it to Alexia to continue to read the book and not give up

I absolutely loved this book. The whole story was so refreshing and gives you a complete different outlook on vampires and how the became to be.The story is about a girl called April and her mother and brother who seem to be the only survivors of some sort of Epidemic that has turned the entire population into vampires. One day whilst April and her family are out scavenging her mother and brother are kidnapped and this causes April to go on a rampage killing vampires. But then she come across a

This review has also been posted on my Happy Indulgence Blog. Check it out for more reviews!April Tate is a survivor amongst the post-apocalyptic world with a single goal that keeps her breathing to find her brother and mother. A viral epidemic has sweeped the nations and turned the population into feral, mindless vampires who are solely out for feeding on humans. The feral vampires are very zombie-like in their demeanour, in fact throughout the first half of the novel I had a hard time

!!!!Possible Spoilers!!!!How awesome is the name of this book?? Reign Of Blood, doesnt that just sound super badass!it took me a few days to actually finish this book but overall i really enjoyed it. i did have a few problems with a few of the characters and their behaviour or reactions to some things, mainly with the main character April, especially when it came to Rye - i get it there got a "mate" thing going on (im not a big fan of the Mate style of realationship so this might just be me) but
