And since I want to enjoy the newest October Daye installment (book #12) to the fullest, I decided to re-read this wonderful series. The thing is, I have kind of a love-hate relationship with October Daye. Overall, I love this series, it's very well written, characters have depth, story is really interesting... but it always leaves me kind of depressed. The best book of the series just yet.What I genuinely love the most about it is the world building, a clever way to merge a Fae world into a modern San Francisco.Just a really good urban fantasy that serves as a great buffer for more complicated reads.
